burden during this challenging period.

waste into striking tote bags. The brand’s new and exclusive reusable bag collection is dedicated
to sustainability, challenging Malaysians to factor in environmental health while shopping. 7-Eleven
releases two reusable bag variants - the Out of the Ocean Bag and the Recycled PET (polyethylene
terephthalate) Bottle Bag – to tackle the problem of plastic pollution in the oceans. Best of all,
as part of the #TrashToTreasure Reusable Bag campaign, from now until 16th September 2021, with
every purchase of the reusable bags, RM1 will be channelled toward 7-Eleven’s environmental

Since the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country, many had to face financial woes and thus,
7-Eleven Malaysia has been giving assisting the marginalized and less-fortunate communities,
around the country. To date, 7-Eleven has collectively contributed more than RM1.6 million
worth of essentials, from test kits, personal protective equipment, groceries and foodstuff
to various beneficiaries, nationwide. Driven by the desire to ‘Always Be There For You’,

7 –Eleven Malaysia carries on its goodwill by launching ‘Lend a Helping Hand 2021’ campaign
to provide relief and help ease the burden of beneficiaries whom are impacted by the
Covid-19 pandemic in the country as well as to our heroic frontliners that are working
tirelessly to keep us all safe. From 4 June until July 4, 2021, the public is encouraged to
contribute through the campaign by purchasing necessities and supplies from 7-Eleven stores
nationwide and placing them into the collection box. Supplies could range from instant food,
groceries, beverages, medications, and other household cleaning essentials found in the
store. The public may also drop off essential general supplies into the collection box and
the contributions will then be channelled by 7-Eleven to the nearest beneficiaries in each
area nationwide including government hospitals and medical clinics, other civil service
frontliners, charity homes such as those for the elderly and children, public universities,
students’ dormitories and more.

selected charitable organisations that are located in the most affected areas to help ease

Semurni Kasih, its annual donation drive under the Community Care programme. Held in
conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, the six-week-long donation drive will run until

then placing the items in dedicated contribution boxes found in every store. As the tagline

7-Eleven Malaysia in collaboration with its partner, NGOHub recently came to the assistance
of a number of charitable homes for the less fortunate children, providing essential items
and food supplies to these homes impacted by the on-going pandemic nationwide.
In light of the Movement Control Order (MCO), charitable organisations housing the children
face even more challenges as their group is at most-risk and lack the necessary means to
access essential supplies due to shortages. Keeping this in mind, 7-Eleven Malaysia arranged
for the distribution of rice, condensed milk, cooking oil, canned foods, sugar, multivitamin
supplements, sanitary products as well as antibacterial household cleaning products during
these challenging times to Rumah Aman Children’s Home, among other orphanages in and around
Klang Valley.

7-Eleven Malaysia recently concluded its annual CSR initiative, #BuatBaikTogether, to
support disadvantaged communities across the country. #BuatBaikTogether4 successfully
collected over RM1.5 million worth of supplies consisting of food and non-food products such
as groceries, canned food, biscuits and snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and medical
supplies. The contributions were gathered and distributed to over 200 charity homes and
non-profit organisations nationwide.
The campaign successfully raised RM5,000 for CSR partner Damai Disabled Person Association
Malaysia through the contribution of RM0.10 for each purchase of a selected partner brand
listed by 7-Eleven Malaysia. Damai Disabled Person Association Malaysia has been at the
forefront to equip the disabled community with the necessary skills to live independently
and create disability awareness training specifically conducted for various government
agencies, NGOs and private sectors.

7-Eleven Malaysia recently conducted its latest CSR initiative by arranging for a free
dental
screening and oral hygiene workshop to underprivileged youths in collaboration with its
start-up,
NGOHub at SOLS Academy Innovation.
The activity started off with an educational insight on dental health and oral health
awareness
by Klinik Pergigian Kepong followed by dental screening for the students. They were also
briefed
on the usage and benefits of oral healthcare products to maintain good oral health and were
treated
with a scrumptious meal and distributed goodie bags filled with oral healthcare products.
The SOLS Academy of Innovation (SOLS.ai) is a free, 12-month education and boarding program
designed
to provide a one-of-a-kind educational opportunity to young, especially those of the urban
poor, rural
and indigenous communities. The one-year program is holistic, focusing on both soft and hard
skills,
while providing not only practical training but also internship and employment
opportunities.

In the spirit of festive celebrations, 7-Eleven Malaysia alongside NGOHub organized a
Chinese
New Year celebration with a group of senior citizens from Joy Garden Old Folks Home.
The joyous occasion began with the traditional practice of tossing "Yee Sang" as a symbolic
gesture to welcome good fortune and an auspicious start to the year. The residents were then
treated with a sumptuous Chinese New Year lunch consisting of delectable Chinese dishes
which
included braised noodles, fried rice, curry fish and many more. To complete the activity,
the
volunteers distributed red packets and goodie bags contains snacks and beverage as a symbol
of
prosperity and wealth to the residents.
Joy Garden Old Folks is one of the non-profit charitable organizations under House of Joy
that
administers shelter and care to a group of underprivileged people from various walks of
life,
including neglected elderly folks, the mentally ill and wheelchair-bound. The home currently
cares for over 43 residents with the help of caretakers in Semenyih.

In the spirit of Christmas festivities, 7-Eleven Malaysia with its start-up, NGOHub recently
carried out a
CSR activity by bringing the children from Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Chrestus Cheras (Rumah
Chrestus) out
for a special Christmas movie treat, Frozen II at a nearby cinema. The fun movie outing
started out in the
morning with a briefing and introduction of the volunteers to the children. The 90-minute
movie experience
was made complete with sweet caramel popcorn and cool beverages. After the movie, the
children were treated
to a scrumptious lunch provided by a catering service back at Rumah Chrestus and all the
children were all
given Christmas presents which included snacks and stationaries for school before bidding
farewell to the
volunteers.
Established 18 years ago in 2001, Rumah Chrestus is a non-profit organization dedicated to
restoring the
lives of children aged 2 to 18 years old who are orphaned, abused, neglected or
underprivileged. With a
total of 15 children, the shelter now provides education and trainings for them to be
self-sufficient for
their future and it is currently managed by Pastor Jeffrey Solomon and the Chief Warden of
Rumah Chrestus,
Elvis.

7-Eleven Malaysia alongside with NGOHub recently organized an activity for the
underprivileged children of
Pertubuhan Amal & Kebajikan Anak2 Islam Tersisih Selangor (PAKATS) to plant vegetation and
fruits in the
organization’s compound. The event started off with a briefing session to the participants
on the various
types of trees that will be planted and the gardening tools necessary for the activity. The
participants
spent the afternoon tilling the fertile land and planting the seedlings together and among
the seedlings
planted were mangoes, longans, rambutans, pandan, chilli, lemongrass and many more. The
event concluded
with distribution of 7-Eleven goodie bags which included snacks, beverage and soft toys to
the children
as a token of appreciation for their hard work.
Liana Jamal, the manager and caretaker of PAKATS has been managing the centre since 2014,
providing shelter
and care for underprivileged children. The centre first began with 4 orphans and now has
grown to shelter
12 boys and girls aged between 3 to 16 years old with various needs.

the community of Persatuan Kebajikan SVM Selangor & Kuala Lumpur.
This festive of light and celebration started off when volunteers begin to decorate the
house with Deepavali decorations,
while the folks were treated to an array of sumptuous Indian afternoon tea spread, prepared
by the volunteers, including
a delectable combination of traditional Indian appetizers and desserts. To further entertain
the community, there was a
musical performance accompanied by a local busker who performed with his guitar and sang
some classic and latest hits for
the community. The celebration was concluded with 7-Eleven Team distributing goodie bags
containing snacks and Deepavali
Packets to the residents.
Persatuan Kebajikan SVM Selangor & Kuala Lumpur is a home Centre dedicated for the
handicapped, mentally ill, orphanage and old folks,
incepted in year 2009 by Theresa Bhavani and her late husband. Since establishment till now,
she has been taking care of folks by providing
great care and freedom to a total of 16 residents there.

NGOHub by reaching out to some disadvantaged communities that have been adversely affected
by the haze phenomenon.
The team at 7-Eleven Malaysia arranged for the distribution of N95 particulate respirator
masks, eye drops,
vitamin and mineral supplements as well as snacks rich in Vitamin E such as nuts and
sunflower seeds to selected
charitable organizations, encompassing both children and the elderly such Sai Pandian
Orphanage, Pertubuhan Pusat
Kebajikan Destiny, Rumah Anak Yatim Al-Munirah, GT Community Care and Persatuan Thalasemia
Selangor to name a few
that are located in the most affected areas to help combat the effects of the haze as well
as providing guidance
on staying healthy during this period.

With the nation's 62nd National Day around the corner, 7-Eleven Malaysia brought a group of
Malaysian
Girl Guides from the PPR KL community on a city-walking trip within Kuala Lumpur in
collaboration with
Yellow House KL (YHKL) and its start-up, NGOHub. This activity is to embraced the spirit of
patriotism
and educate the youth about the city.
Before embarking on a journey of learning and discovery, the girl guides were given
Malaysian flags
and a safety briefing by the YHKL tour guides. From the bustling Chinatown, the participants
visited
Central Market, River of Life, Masjid Jamek, Merdeka Square, Sri Mahamariamman Temple and
Sin Sze Si
Ya Temple. At each of the landmarks, they were given a brief and informative summary on the
historical
facts of the location. Through this tour, the youth were fully immersed in learning about
Malaysia's
capital city and cultural melting pot. The last pit stop of the day was the Old Market
Square – also
known as Medan Pasar – where the activity concluded with the participants being served
7-Eleven Malaysia's
fresh and ready-to-eat meals alongside other treats and goodie bags.

With the main goal of instilling an entrepreneurial mindset in the younger generation,
7-Eleven Malaysia, recently
organized an entrepreneurship workshop for the children of Happy Neighbourhood (Jiran Ria)
at Pangsapuri Enggang,
Puchong in collaboration with, NGOHub. Children were divided into two groups and assigned to
make a famous local
ice dessert - or locally known as 'aiskrim Malaysia' as their product and prepare attractive
marketing materials
to promote the sale of the products. The event ended with a delicious teatime spread and
distribution of 7-Eleven
goodie bags.
With the help of the children from Pangsapuri Enggang, Margaret Vani has turned a small
3-bedroom flat into a
community center that nurtures close to 60 underprivileged kids now.

Community Development Ministry,
where outstanding corporations in Malaysia that have excelled in the role of change agents

of Malaysia and endeavour to promote sustainable economies and serve the needy are honoured.
The recipients of these awards
have been selected by a panel of high calibre judges representing corporate and social
bodies. Present at the awards was

7-Eleven Malaysia has engaged with customers to support the underprivileged community
through their annual CSR initiative,
Semurni Kasih under the Community Care program. This year more than RM3 million worth of
provisions consisting of food
and non-food items were collected at the end of the campaign and among the items collected
were canned food, biscuits,
rice, cooking oil, laundry detergent, toiletries and other household essentials. The
collection was distributed to
various charity organizations across both West and East Malaysia. Incepted in 2008, the
annual Semurni Kasih charity
programme has given out more than RM19 million worth of necessities to the less fortunate.

celebrating Hari Raya
Celebration with the kids from Pusat Jagaan Nuri. The joyous event begun from decorating
gifts of coin
banks for the kids to a wonderful meal time together. The children received Raya Packets
from the volunteers
before the event ended.
The home was founded by Puan Nopisrah (Mama Noor) in September 2007 who was inspired to
build this home
after witnessing the desperate needs of single mothers and abandoned babies. The home now
has outgrown
to be a shelter for 30 children with various needs

7-Eleven Malaysia carried out a CSR initiative with Pusat Jagaan Siti Nor Aini, a shelter
for senior citizens,
in collaboration with Tigas Alliance pharmacy and NGOHub Asia during the holy month of
Ramadan.
Dr Abdullah Noel, the founder of Pusat Jagaan Siti Nor Aini named the home after his wife
Siti Nor Aini
Chelladurai. For 10 years and counting, the home has been providing shelter and care for
homeless senior
citizens, including those who are chronically ill.
Free health screenings were given to the residents before they break fast with the
volunteers.

eco-educational visit to Bukit Tagar
Sanitary Landfill in collaboration with NGOHub Asia. Acitivities included a detailed
presentation on waste management
processes, and participants were shown the 3 sites that make up the landfill. The activity
concluded with lunch provided
by the KBE team and distribution of 7-Eleven goodie bags.
Bukit Tagar Sanitary Landfill (BTSL) was developed by KUB-Berjaya Enviro Sdn Bhd (KBE) under
the supervision of the
Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government. It has been operating since 2005
and receives approximately
2,500 tonnes of solid waste per day from Kuala Lumpur and several municipalities from
Selangor and its facilities is
expected to last up to 130 years with the estimated population increase.

To commemorate World Down Syndrome Day, 7-Eleven organized a tele-match at Persatuan
Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak
Cacat Klang (PPKKCK), Selangor with the help of NGOHub Asia. The tele-match consisted of
various activities
that would help with their motor skills, teach them self-grooming skills and encourage
teamwork. Each
participant was awarded with a gold medal and goodie bag containing toys, snacks and
beverage. The event
ended with a delicious spread during tea time.
PPKKCK was founded by chairman and founder, N. Morgun in 1991. Through humble beginnings and
with his own
savings, Morgun established a centre to house multiracial special children diagnosed with
Down syndrome,
cerebral palsy, autism, muscular dystrophy, and many other disabilities.

For Chinese New Year, 7-Eleven together with NGOHub Asia spread festive cheer to the
residents of En Yuan
Old Folk Home. The festive celebration started off with the customary prosperity toast known
as "Lou Sang",
while exclaiming auspicious sayings and well wishes loudly as a symbol of prosperity for the
year ahead.
Together, they enjoyed their dinner comprising an array of Chinese and Western cuisine.
Goodie bags that
contain a variety of snacks and red packets were distributed to the folks.
Founded by Stanley Yap, En Yuan Old Folk home is a shelter home for the elderly who are
homeless and
underprivileged with six helpers including cooks.

of Grace Home Klang. The residents were gathered around as hairdressers gave each of them
their haircuts and

Grace Home Klang was founded by Dr. Hendy K.Pillai and has taken in over 1,500
underprivileged women, some of
whom are widowed or have suffered from domestic violence referred directly by the Welfare
Department.

7-Eleven Malaysia signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Pertubuhan Tindakan Pejuang
Wanita Dalam Sosial, Ekonomi, Rumahtangga Dan Ilmu, otherwise known as Tiangseri Malaysia
that will enable the NGO to recruit, provide financial funding and train future franchisees
under the 7-Eleven Malaysia network.
In the agreement, Tiangseri Malaysia was commissioned to recruit and recommend up to fifty
potential franchisees to 7-Eleven Malaysia in the next 12 months as well as provide various
services to the potential franchisees. The MOA was signed by 7-Eleven Malaysia chief
executive officer Mr. Colin Harvey and Tiangseri Malaysia president, Dr. Mastura Binti
Mohamad at a simple signing agreement in Berjaya Times Square hotel, which was also
witnessed by Berjaya Corporation Founder, Tan Sri Vincent Tan.

In the spirit of Christmas, 7-Eleven together with NGOhub Asia set up a hydroponic system at
Trinity Children's Home. Hydroponics is a method of planting in a water-based, nutrient rich
solution. The children and volunteers got their hands dirty by seeding and potting the soil
mix, excited at the prospect of reaping the harvest of their hydroponics in the months to
come. A Christmas celebration would not be complete without presents and the children were
all given presents and goodie bags before bidding farewell with the volunteers.
Trinity Children's Home is a shelter home for orphaned and underprivileged children with
single parents. Started in 1999, the home has nurtured and seen more than 150 children grow
up to be independent adults as the home functions not only as a shelter, but also provides
education and trainings for the children to be self-sufficient for their future.

7-Eleven Malaysia celebrated a joyous Deepavali with the community of Ebenezer Home, Shah
Alam. Before the celebration began, the volunteers got to know the occupants through a
'gotong-royong' session, cleaning and tidying up the venue for the feast. An afternoon tea
spread, prepared by the volunteers, included a delectable combination of traditional Indian
appetizers and desserts. Goodie bags containing snacks and daily essentials were also handed
out.
Incepted in year 2010, the home is dedicated to the elderly, disabled, mentally ill and less
fortunate by founder Kavitha Subramaniam and has flourished to 2 housing units with a total
of 39 residents, segregated by gender.

7-Eleven Malaysia with NGOHub Asia, conducted a 'gotong-royong' cleanup session at Kampung
Orang Asli Sg Enggang. The volunteers furnished a learning centre with floor mats,
educational posters and stationery supplies to create a better learning environment for the
children. A cleanup session took place at the same time, where volunteers assisted in the
cleanup of the common space and drains. Besides that, they also distributed essential
provisions such as rice, cooking oil, flour, sugar, amongst others along with special goodie
bags containing drinks and soft toys.
Founded by Zawiyah Ali, the village, which houses 30 impoverished orang asli families, is
situated in Lanchang, Pahang with a learning centre built there almost 6 years ago.

7-Eleven Malaysia conducted a CSR initiative by spreading joy to the children at Individual
Mentally Challenged Training Centre for Individual with Special Needs (IMC). During the
event, the volunteers organised a Malaysia Day-themed colouring contest and talent contest
where the children could participate and win prizes. They enjoyed teatime together before
7-Eleven Malaysia distributed provisions such as rice, cooking oil, and eggs amongst others
along with goodie bags containing cookies, stationeries, and plush toys.
Located in Subang Jaya, IMC was officially established in year 2008 by Raaginee Shalesh,
better known as 'Teacher Raaginee' to the folks at IMC. Today, she operates three training
centres in Klang Valley together with her therapist and teachers.

7-Eleven Malaysia celebrated National Day with the children of Komuniti Program Perumahan
Rakyat (PPR) Pantai Dalam and Gurpuri Foundation. The fun-filled day of learning and
exploring took place in the majestic National Museum, Kuala Lumpur.
PPR homes are low cost, high-rise flats developed by the government to improve the standard
and living cost of the lower income and underprivileged community. For the children of
Pantai Dalam PPR, aged between 10 to 17 years old, it would be their first time visiting the
museum. Joining the fun were children from the Gurpuri Foundation, a foundation founded as
part of a nationwide movement to care for orphaned children and build them up to be
responsible adults.

7-Eleven Malaysia, the nation's favourite convenience store-chain, journeyed to Hulu Langat,
Selangor to pay Cherishlife Home a visit. To show support for the organization and aid in
their daily operations, 7-Eleven Malaysia contributed various supplies ranging from dry
nutritious pet food, grooming tools, cod liver oil, and diapers, amongst others. The
volunteers also grabbed the opportunity to do some minor cleanup and play with the animals
at the shelter.
Founded in 2010 by Lau Choy Sze, or more affectionately known as 'Aunty Winnie' to the
animal-loving community, Cherishlife Home is a no-kill animal shelter, which also takes in
injured cats and dogs.

chain recently spread festive joy to a group of 35 orphans from Pusat Jagaan Lambaian Kasih.
Alongside its startup NGOHub Asia, they brought the orphans to a garment retail store in
Pudu to buy them a new set of Raya clothing to be worn for Hari Raya and later merrily break
fast together at Rasa Utara, a Malaysian restaurant that specializes in Northern Malaysian
cuisine located at Berjaya Times Square.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Pusat Jagaan Lambaian Kasih is an organization that cares for
children who are orphaned or from desolate backgrounds and single-mother families.

7-Eleven Malaysia organized a baking session for Persatuan Wanita & Ibu Tunggal Nur Iman
Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (PWITUS), with the support of its startup, NGO Hub Asia.The purpose
of the activity was to teach the community how to make baked goods that they can sell to the
public for extra income, especially during the month of Ramadhan when the preparation for
the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri is much astir.
Located in Batu Caves, Selangor, PWITUS is formed in 2009 by Sheilla Tukimin, and is
targeted at supporting women to sustain themselves independently. The non-profit
organization coordinates a variety of learning and sustainability programs for the community
to expand their knowledge and gain more skillsets, as well as provide resources and
utilities needed for them to run a business and earn income. Till date, the organization has
more than 600 members, all of which consists of single mothers and women who are widowed,
divorced, or disabled.

7-Eleven Malaysia conducted a public cleanup with NGOHub Asia at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens,
and the initiative was dedicated to celebrate Earth Day event on 22 April. At the end of the
activity, more than 18kg worth of trash was successfully removed from the park.
The Titiwangsa Lake Gardens is a recreational park for the public. With several big lakes in
the middle of the park, it also provides facilities such as jogging tracks, canoeing, horse
riding facility and other outdoor activities. There are also food and beverage sold around
the edge of the lake for visitors to buy while enjoying the scenic view of the KL city
skyline.

7-Eleven Malaysia celebrated Chinese New Year with the elderly at Charis Senior Citizen Home
and prepared a feast for them. 7-Eleven Malaysia also distributed daily necessities such as
cream crackers and cereal drinks as well as red packets to the community.
Charis Senior Citizen Home was founded by Rev. Leong Ka Meng in 1997, and the organization
was formerly a walk-in centre whereby free meals and provisions were offered to the elderly
who are underprivileged, homeless, abandoned or have lost complete contact with their
family. In 2004 till date, they have expanded their services by opening up a shelter to
house these forgotten individuals.

In conjunction with International Creativity Month, 7-Eleven Malaysia conducted an arts and
crafts activity for the children at Pusat Jagaan Asnaf Barakh. 7-Eleven Malaysia also
distributed goodie bags to the children, consisting of various snacks and beverages; and
provisions to help alleviate the community’s operational expenses.
Pusat Jagaan Asnaf Barakh is a non-profit organization that houses children from low-income
families. Founder Haji Yusof Noor has actively supported the underprivileged, and was
inspired to extend his efforts further of helping families who were struggling financially
after learning about their circumstances.

In efforts of extending aid to disadvantaged communities, 7-Eleven Malaysia initiated its
second donation drive #BuatBaikTogether, which came into inception in 2017. RM1,549,641.17
worth of supplies consisting of food and non-food products were gathered and distributed to
170 charity homes and not for profit organizations across Malaysia. Additionally, the
campaign successfully raised RM10,000.00 for Make-A-Wish Malaysia through the contribution
of 10 cents for each purchase of a selected partner brand listed by 7-Eleven Malaysia.
Make-A-Wish Malaysia is a charity organization which grants wishes of children with
life-threatening medical conditions, and has granted 400 wishes in Malaysia. By helping to
fulfil one wish, it would enable children and their families to channel their focus and
energy of enjoying a day being immersed with activities on Wish Day; empowering them with
hope and strength to battle against the medical challenges they face.

7-Eleven Malaysia doubled its efforts to spread joy during the festive season to the
community at Dignity & Services in Bandar Sunway, and Myanmar Education Centre (MEC) in
Kuala Lumpur, which mostly consists of children and young adults. 7-Eleven Malaysia also
distributed goodie bags consisting of snacks, toys, and stationeries for the community
members to bring home; and contributed RM30,000 to each organization in order for them to
maintain their upkeep and continue its endeavours of providing for the community.
Dignity & Services is dedicated to help create a society where persons with learning
disabilities enjoy dignity and respect, equal rights and opportunities to lead an
independent and meaningful life within the community.
MEC is a centre which provides education to Myanmar children refugees residing in Malaysia
and also support the children’s families by providing necessities such as clothes, household
items and health care.

community to clear old supplies from their storage room, while NGOHub Asia assisted by
weeding and preparing the soil for an empty land that will be used to plant vegetables.

that contain provisions such as biscuits, snacks, dairy products, energy drinks and body
shampoo.
Positive Living Community (PLC) is a shelter home which houses people rejected by society or
have become homeless due to AIDS and HIV. They provide support to homeless patients who were
recently discharged hospitals; as well as others who want to overcome drug or alcohol
addiction.

7-Eleven Malaysia recently conducted an arts and craft activity at Malaysian Federation of
the Deaf (MFD) at Menara KLH, Bandar Puchong Jaya to nurture inner creativity and instill
the spirit of unity amongst the community, which mostly consists of children.
Malaysian Federation of the Deaf (MFD) is an organization which supports the deaf community
by offering educational and living skills programs that would enable them to be more
independent on their own. As communication is important for the community, 7-Eleven Malaysia
organized the activity to help build their confidence and ability to interact with others.
Concurrently, it would enhance their creative skills and encourage them to develop further
interest in creative-based projects. A simple Q&A about Malaysia was also conducted to
educate and expand their knowledge about the importance of patriotism and unity.

7-Eleven Malaysia has engaged with customers to support the underprivileged community
through their annual CSR initiative, Semurni Kasih under the Community Care program.
RM3,025,937.83 worth of provisions consisting of food and non-food products were gathered at
the end of the campaign, and amongst these provisions were canned food, biscuits, rice,
bottled and canned beverages, as well as medicine that were distributed to more than 190
charity homes and charitable causes across the country.

Ikhlas Komuniti Malaysia (PPKIM) to spread festive cheer to the community there.
PPKIM, also known as Ikhlas, is an organization dedicated to support and counsel homeless
drug addicts, sex workers, and the transgender community. At their newly established centre,
7-Eleven Malaysia distributed packed meals along with goodie bags containing toiletries and
their house brand products to aid the community during this festivity.

In support of raising awareness on autism, 7-Eleven Malaysia collaborated with NGO Hub Asia
to initiate a short certification program on Café Preparation and Service for autistic
youths at Autism Café Project. Youths are taught basic cafe and food service skills through
a mentor system which would help them gain confidence and take ahold of their lives in
securing future employment. Upon successful completion of the program, they were each
presented with a certificate and goodie bag. 7-Eleven Malaysia also contributed a generous
supply of provisions and necessities for the cafe’s daily operations and catering services.

Devoted to empowering women, 7-Eleven Malaysia facilitated a cupcake certification course
for single mothers and children alongside its startup, NGO Hub Asia. Specialized baking
instructors were invited to conduct the certification session by teaching cake piping
techniques. In acknowledgement of the community’s participation and achievement, each
individual was also presented with a certificate and a small reward.

assistance to support Sincere Care Home’s operational expenses and conducting a spring

7-Eleven Malaysia received 2,070 pledges for its ‘You Pledge We Plant: Battle Against
Climate Change’ environmental CSR campaign in collaboration with Malaysian Nature Society
and for every pledge received, 7-Eleven is committed to planting a tree. Volunteers from
7-Eleven Malaysia and its partners successfully planted more than 180 saplings in the unique
mangrove ecosystem of Kuala Selangor Nature Park on 15th October 2016. The
remaining pledged trees would be allocated to other nature sites nationwide under the
purview of the Malaysian Nature Society.

Graduation is a time for celebrating outstanding achievements. 7-Eleven Malaysia in
collaboration with the Department of Skill Development (JPK)
under the Ministry of Human Resources celebrated its 3rd Malaysia National Dual Training
System (SLDN) Convocation on the 23rd December 2015.
A total of 328 graduates were commemorated during this convocation that was held at Berjaya
Times Square Hotel and graduates were presented
their scrolls by various dignitaries including CEO of 7-Eleven Malaysia, Mr. Gary Brown. Out
of 328 graduates, 255 graduates graduated with
the SKM Level 2, 67 graduates with SKM Level 3 and 6 pioneer apprentices with SKM Level 4
certification.

Gymkhana at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort on 27 October 2015. 7-Eleven Malaysia
was honored to be a part of this heartwarming event to witness the riders’ fine horsemanship
through the gymkhana games.
Horse riding has been known to be highly beneficial to individuals with disabilities to
improve both mental and physical state.
