COMMUNITY CARE

7-Eleven Community Care is a non-profit entity set up to implement 7-Eleven Malaysia’s corporate social responsibility and philanthropic initiatives.

#BuatBaikTogether

7-Eleven Malaysia initiated its second donation drive #BuatBaikTogether, which came into inception in 2017. The campaign is held during the year end in efforts to extend further support for the underprivileged community. Walk in-customers can donate necessities such as food, beverages, household essentials and other supplies purchased from 7-Eleven stores and place them into the collection box. Contributions will then be distributed to a list of selected beneficiaries.

Furthermore, with every contribution of selected partner brands, 7-Eleven Malaysia will also donate 10 cents to a selected charity organization. For 2017, 7-Eleven Malaysia partnered with “Make-A-Wish Malaysia”, a charity organization that helps grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Semurni Kasih

7-Eleven Malaysia initiated the Semurni Kasih campaign back in year 2010 and has been held annually during the month of Ramadhan. Capitalizing on a network average of 900,000 walk-in customers daily, from more than 1879 stores nationwide. 7-Eleven Malaysia concerted a nationwide effort to collect food and non-food supplies for distributions to the underprivileged in the community.

7-Eleven Malaysia has accumulated more than RM11 million worth of essential items till date. Store customers contributed by simply purchasing any necessities and dropping them into the collection box in all 7-Eleven outlets across Malaysia, and 7-Eleven Malaysia distributed the essential items collected to those in need.

NGOHub.asia

NGOHub.asia is a first all in one online platform to promote, connect and aid non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across Malaysia. It is the new-age solution to address key problems and various challenges faced by the everyday hero local NGOs in terms of getting publicity, volunteers as well as material aid. The website, which is a concept by SOLS 24/7 Malaysia with founding support from 7-Eleven Malaysia Community Care Fund, harnesses the power of online technology and digital ubiquity to connect NGOs with local philanthropic individuals and organizations.

The launch was officiated by SOLS 24/7 Malaysia Director, Teacher Raj Ridvan Singh together with 7-Eleven Malaysia executive director, Tan U-Ming.
